In three trips to Venice, I had never been across the canal to Giudecca. And we look over at it everyday from the Zattere. So Marcia's last night provided the perfect excuse to go over there and check out the Molino Stucky Hotel (google it, the building has an amazing history). It's one of those structures that some Venetians love and others absolutely abhor - kinda like some hotels in Hawai'i, huh? We'd asked Contessa Anna about it and she said we should definitely go to the SkyLine for a drink - the view is fantastic from the 8th floor - and we should have dinner at the restaurant which, she said, was excellent. So, off we went. It took all of a minute to get there by vaporetto.
