One last Bellini

The Contessa invited a few guests over for cocktails and pupu tonight - it was absolutely lovely and, for us at least, it turned into dinner. She put out delicious food - Parmigiana, salami, nuts,
mini-caprese salads-on-a-stick, and more and to drink served Bellinis and prosecco. A nice way to spend the early part of our evening. Then a last evening stroll on the Zattere, a last gelato, a last good look around the neighborhood, and now, buona notte. There will be one last post from Palazzetto da Schio before I pack up the laptop and board a water taxi for the airport. I had thought I would title it "Have I Stayed Too Long at the Fair?" and the answer was going to be, "well, maybe a few days too long." But, of course, now that my time here is rapidly coming to an end, I'm feeling a little blue. I do love this place. A domani...
