I have seen the shoes...

...and they are GOOD. They are handcrafted by a lovely, creative, eccentric woman named Giovanna Zanella and she is one of two shoe designers working in Venice today who learned from legendary Venetian shoe master Segalin. For shoe lovers like me, walking into her shop makes one feel like the proverbial kid in the candy store. I hardly knew where to look first. She was very patient with me, has a great eye and knew immediately which of her amazing shoes would look best on me. It should go without saying that her shoes are very expensive and worth every Euro. Right now, I'm not able to justify a purchase like this. I didn't take any photos in her shop - I didn't think it would be appropriate. But I did find some on the web which I'm posting here so you can get just the slightest inkling of what I'm talking about. Believe me, these photos do NOT do her shoes justice but they're the best I could find.
