The last word on the Biennale from The New York Times (where else??)

Keeping in mind that art appreciation is in the eye of the beholder, or so we've been told, here's the "official" last word from Michael Kimmelman in The New York Times:

I'm in agreement for the most part, and I really will get to this over the course of the next few days, except for the universal praise of Bruce Nauman. I just don't get it, what else can I say?

And here are video highlights from Randy Kennedy who wrote about the Biennale for The Times throughout the press preview days. If you didn't read his story on the Iceland Pavilion, you should look it up - I finally saw it live and in person, LOVED it and will post about it as soon as I deal with my hundreds of photos...

I'll make one more comment here. Italian artist Masimo Bartolini created a space in Sala F in the Biennale Pavilion at Giardini specifically designed for children to express THEIR artistic interpretations of the theme - Making Worlds. It makes you smile, doesn't it?

Okay, so this should hold you for a little while, right?
